Ryan Machin risked chilling parts that other bike rides can’t reach in round one of the Muc-Off Brass Monkeys Winter MTB Endurance Series, held at the fantastically named Porridgepot Hill near Blackwater last weekend.
Taking on multiple laps of the 6-mile circuit in the Open 40+ four-hour class, Ryan reports dying after an hour and a quarter, and only reviving again with two laps to go. Nevertheless, others must have suffered more because he managed to bag a fine 5th place.

Fantastic news. We have enough interest in both dates to confirm that the two trips to Dénia are viable and going ahead 😃.
If you want to join the February group, you need to decide very soon, as there is only one place left. Richard and Maddy have kindly extended the decision deadline to 15 December. The deadline can’t go beyond this, as local arrangements and bookings need to be made.

Till next time,
