Ryan Machin has been flying the flag in Spain at the Mediterranean Epic, and we can now share the full story.
Closer to home, we’re bringing the Spring Classics to Lewes. Read on to find out more.
And finally… a caption competition. What on earth are they up to?

🏁 MTB Racing

As reported last week, Ryan Machin headed to the Spanish coast earlier this month to tackle the prestigious Mediterranean Epic – a four-day UCI marathon MTB race.
Competing in the Masters pairs category against a stacked international field, Ryan and his partner tackled 138 race miles across four stages and nearly 7,000ft of climbing. They finished a highly creditable 17th in the GC.
👉 Read Ryan’s full race report (and the data) on the website - it’s a great write-up and well worth a read,
Correction: In last week’s Rolling News, we said that Ryan rode the event with Georgina. He didn’t; he rode it with a mate.

Club Spring Classics Events
The Black Horse in Lewes has agreed to show the Spring Classics (and other major races later in the year). We’re planning to tie club rides in with a few hours of watching the races and, no doubt, a drink or two. Coming along just for the viewing will be perfectly fine, too.
Look out for more details, but start by marking your diary for Saturday 7 March: Strade Bianche, and Saturday 21 March: Milan-San Remo.
Bikes, banter and a beverage or two – what’s not to like?
