Easter weekend, and the calendar’s absolutely bulging.

From a bonus bank holiday ride to an off-road adventure, an Easter ride (of course), and a well-earned spot in the pub to watch Flanders — it’s all happening.

🐣 Good Friday Social - Friday 3 April

If you’ve set your alarm for when Rolling News drops, there’s still time to nip down to Boots in Uckfield or The Forge for a bank holiday bonus ride. Go on, you know you want to.

  • Roll out: 8:30 am

  • Duration: Approx. 4 hours, including the coffee stop at Southease YHA.

  • Start Location: Boots, Uckfield (going via Forge for pick-ups at 9:00)

  • Dress Code: Club kit preferred

🌳 Off-Road Ride - Saturday 4 April

The second of our monthly off-road rides rolls out on Saturday. This time, we’ll have A&B rides. The A ride will be faster, limited stop and a “drop” ride. The B group will be more social and “no-drop”. Something for everybody.

  • Roll out: 8:30 am

  • Duration: Approx. 4 hours, including the coffee afterwards.

  • Start Location: Bake Out, Lewes

  • Dress Code: Club kit preferred

🐣 Sunday Social - Sunday 5 April

It’s Easter Sunday, and a ride before Easter eggs is non-negotiable. Paget may don ecclesiastical garb to lead. The rest of you, please wear club kit if you’ve got it.

  • Roll out: 8:30 am

  • Duration: Approx. 4 hours, including the coffee stop at Washbrooks Farm.

  • Start Location: Boots, Uckfield (going via The Forge for pick-ups)

  • Dress Code: Club kit expected

📺 Communal Watch-along - Sunday 5 April

We’re back at the Black Horse on Sunday afternoon, this time for the conclusion of Ronde van Vlaanderen. The landlord has warned of a possible overlap with Easter Sunday diners, so please keep this in mind.

  • Time: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm (approx)

  • Location: The Black Horse, Lewes

  • Dress Code: Come as you like!

⛓️ Chain Gang - Tuesday 7 April

In a triumph for democracy, the evening Chain Gang has moved to Tuesdays. Single laps of 11km with regrouping and recovery at the end of each one. Give the chat a thumbs up if you’re in.

  • Roll out: 6:00 pm

  • Duration: Approx. 1 hour

  • Start Location: The Golden Cross, Golden Cross

  • Dress Code: Club kit preferred

☕️ Wednesday Slackers - Wednesday 8 April

The Slackers group is coming out of hibernation - slowly, naturally. Post a comment in the Slackers WhatsApp group if you can slope off for a few hours and fancy a spin. Socially paced.

  • Roll out: 9:00 am

  • Duration: Approx. 3 hours

  • Start Location: The Village Shop, Barcombe

  • Dress Code: Come as you like

🚴 Lee Valley Velodrome

We’re gauging interest in a club track session at Lee Valley Velodrome.

If there’s enough demand, the club will cover the cost of the session and one specialist coach.

Club sessions are normally available on Wednesday evenings (6:00 pm) and Saturday afternoons (4:00 pm).

Are you a member of the Lewes Wanderers Strava Club?

The Strave Club is a great way of keeping up with the activities of other club members, sharing routes or organising rides.
