🚴 Forge Ride - 14 February ❤️

We’re all loved up for the Pevensey/Wartling loop this week. Faster-paced, training ride. Approx 60km. Optional service station stop for a card and flowers if needed.

  • Roll out: 9:15 am

  • Duration: Approx. 3 hours, including the coffee stop

  • Start Location: Forge, Ringmer

  • Dress Code: Club kit preferred

☕️ Sunday Social - 15 February

Darren is leading this week. The destination is still under wraps, but that’s never got in the way of a good ride. Meet in Uckfield, and all will be revealed. (NB. The weather might have its say on Sunday, so keep your eyes peeled for a late switch to Saturday).

🏁 CX Sussex League Standings

The final placings in the Sussex Standings of the Challenge Tires London & South East Cyclo Cross League have been confirmed.

Georgina Wise bagged a fantastic 2nd place in the SenF (women) class, only 40 points behind the winner.

Ryan Machin took 21st in a highly competitive M40 (Open) category.

Dan Street claimed fourth in the M50’s (Open), with Darren Haynes not far behind him in ninth.

Stephen Burgess, as expected, secured the men’s over-70 title.

STOP PRESS: We’re hearing that Ryan & Georgina secured 17th place in the parejas (pairs) category of the Mediterranean Epic MTB event, held on the outskirts of Valencia last week. We hope to bring you more about their experience next week.

A Life in Tandem is showing at the Depot, Lewes, at 18:15 on Monday.

Diagnosed with incurable cancer at 24 and reeling from his brother’s sudden death, Luke Grenfell-Shaw refuses to give in. Instead, he sets off to cycle 20,000 miles from Bristol to Beijing on a tandem, inviting others with terminal cancer to join him.

The film is a powerful, uplifting true story of resilience, connection and hope
