There’s also the full 2026 TT calendar, a surprise Wanderers cameo on daytime TV, and a final nudge for anyone still sitting on the fence about Spain ’26.

And, of course, we’ve got this week’s rides...

🚀 Offer-a-Wheel

Drum-roll, please. With growing the membership being one of our key themes for this year, we’re launching Offer-a-Wheel — a simple way for everyone in the club to help build Lewes Wanderers.

Offer a wheel to a cyclist you know and invite them to join us. For every new member you successfully introduce, you can choose a reward:

  • 🧢 An exclusive Offer-a-Wheel cycling cap

  • ☕ A £10 pre-paid Cadence coffee card

  • 💷 £10 off next year’s membership

  • 💆 £10 more off an already discounted sports massage with Hannah Jackson

Claim your reward when your new member joins. There’s no limit to how many wheels you can offer — or rewards you can earn.

🏁 Racing’s back

The penultimate round of the Challenge Tyres London & South East Cyclo Cross League took place at Herne Hill Velodrome last Sunday. Heavy rain left sections of the course deeply muddy.

In the women’s race, Georgina Wise placed 10th overall in a strong field of 28.

The men’s over-50s race proved more dramatic for Dan Street. After climbing to fourth place early on, a rear puncture forced a pit stop, followed by mechanical issues, ultimately dropping him to 20th at the finish.

AGM Minutes

The minutes of the AGM have now been approved and are available on the website. Dive in.

Escape to the Country

Who else spotted Stephen Burgess in a recent episode of Escape to the Country?

Riding on the Downs near Ditchling Beacon (about 10 years ago!), it was a brief, but BAFTA-worthy appearance!

TT Calendar

The full programme of TTs for 2026 has now been uploaded to the Rides and Races page of the website.

The first date for your diary is the Circuit of Danehill on Sunday, 22 March.

Lock it in and get training - it’ll be here sooner than you think!

🇪🇸 Before you go…

We’re down to the final four villa places — and this is almost your last chance to grab one. The accommodation isn’t the issue; it’s the need to get us all on the same flight, and they’re selling out fast.

Need another picture to help you decide?

Go on then…

Till next time,
