November’s off to a flyer: the Forge Ride is on, the Sunday Social is sorted, Peter Baker is back in the saddle, and Jubilee Lunch menus are about to drop. Spain 2026 is heating up too — all that’s missing is your name on the list.

🚴 Forge Ride : 8 November

Whoop, whoop, it’s a Forge Ride week. Get yourself down to the Forge for a thrash around the classic Wartling loop. Faster-paced/training ride. Approx 60km.

  • Roll out: 9:15 am.

  • Duration: Approx. 3 hours, including the coffee stop

  • Start Location: The Forge, Ringmer

  • Dress Code: Come as you like

☕️ Sunday Social Ride: 9 November

Destination Cadence. Which one? All will be revealed. Darren Haynes is at the helm. Socially-paced, “no-drop” ride.

  • Roll out: 9:00

  • Duration: Approx 4 hours, including coffee.

  • Location: The Forge, Ringmer

  • Dress Code: Club kit preferred

🥳 He’s Back!

After a freak collision with a delivery truck put him out of action for 39 days, we’re delighted to see Peter Baker back on the bike — and back on the Strava leaderboard.

With torn tendons and six weeks off the bike, Peter faced his longest lay-off in half a century of club cycling.

We asked him how he handled surgery, the enforced break, and his first ride back. Check out the story.
